X360 Database Update

Posted in Uncategorized on January 21st, 2010 by Arkane

I’m working to get the X360 Database working to a better level now. People have often contacted me as of how to add games which aren’t in the database, so hopefully this should improve things for everyone.

I will be instituting a user system for editing. This is purely to prevent too much vandalism from occurring (yes, I have noticed it happening). Signup will be open, and everyone will have access to edit, and add new games, but some of the more frequent users will be given a higher access level to lock games which are often vandalised, or which have sufficient game info provided.

Should any user disagree with a mods decision to lock then they should contact me directly. Similarly, anyone who feels they should have this access may request it.

New Forums

I’ve now set up some forums on the site, using bbPress. This is mainly for testing and development of other sites for people, but it can’t hurt too much.

I’ll set up feature request threads for my scripts so that people needn’t email me all the time (unless I’ve dropped off the face of the planet and I am not replying again).

There not much to be seen there, and skinning it will be done at a later point, but for now, it’s here, and it appears to be working. Let me know if anyone thinks otherwise.

Site Update: Mk II

Posted in Uncategorized on November 2nd, 2009 by Arkane

Well, the site has been completely changed again. It’s now using WordPress, making it easier for me to make changes, and thus hopefully updating it more.

I’m still trying to modify the theme to my liking, and there may be a few kinks in it. If anyone find problem with it, please leave a comment to let me know.

Site Update

Thanks to the neverending efforts of Parisienne, aka ks.j from dot. Gaming, the site is getting a complete makeover. Basically meaning, that instead of the ugly, bastardised table I made, the site will actually look quite good for a change. As you can see, there are still a couple of kinks to work out, but I’m very happy with it for the most part.
